Strategic Airlift Capability Program is open for expansion

30 September 2014

The Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) program is looking to expand. This multinational initiative of 10 NATO members and 2 Partnership for Peace (PfP) nations which currently provides strategic airlift to its partner group using three Boeing C-17 Globemaster III long-range military cargo jets is eager to welcome new partners.

SAC is the first operational multinational military airlift initiative in the world and it has quickly proven to be an incredibly responsive solution to meet Europe’s demand for heavy airlift.

SAC member nations can use their allocated flying hours to meet their individual operational airlift requirements for national, UN, NATO and EU commitments and humanitarian relief missions.

Nations who are interested in exploring any of these areas of potential business development or cooperation are invited to contact NATO Airlift Management Programme, Programme Manager, Mr. Wiek Noldus tel. +36-8988-6012 or email namp@nspa.nato.int.
