NSPA delivers Reconnaissance Surveillance and Target Acquisition Systems to the Slovak Armed Forces

LUXEMBOURG - The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has successfully completed the design verification and validation of Reconnaissance Surveillance and Target Acquisition (RSTA) Systems to the Slovak Armed Forces. The contract, awarded in July 2021, includes several RSTA capability kits, logistical support, documentation and other services.

The Special Forces and Artillery experts of the Slovak Armed Forces, together with several NSPA representatives, concluded the design review and the first article inspection of the systems in April 2022.

The use of these state-of-the-art data and sensor technologies will enable the Slovak Armed Forces to develop an operational support structure for the Special Forces units (Fire Support, Snipers, Forward Air Controllers, Forward Observers), contributing to achieve information and technological superiority in the battlefield and, to converge towards a NATO Network Enabled Capability (NNEC) environment.

Further requirements for procuring and delivering RSTA capabilities are anticipated to support the Slovak Ministry of Defence on its plan to modernise the existing reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition capabilities of their Armed Forces.
