Change of Command of the CEPS Belgian Pipeline Organization (BPO)

On 14 June 2022, the Change of Command of the CEPS Belgium Pipeline Organisation (BPO) was held at the historic University Hall in Leuven in Belgium, hosted by LTG Goetynck, aide de Camp to the King and General Director Material Resources (DGMR) and MG De Varé, Director Systems Division, DGMR.

The CEPS Programme was represented by Mr Marc Thoreson, CEPS Programme Manager, other members of the CEPS Programme Office, and the Directors of the other CEPS National Organisations: DPO (The Netherlands), FBG (Germany) and SNOI (France).

After three years and four months of dedicated and exceptional services to the CEPS as the Director of BPO (15 Feb 2019 to 14 June 2022), Colonel Marc Leroy passed his Command to Colonel Göran Boudry, who has been part of CEPS enterprise since 2012, when he assumed the post of Head of BPO Technical Department and, since 2017, the post of Deputy Director of BPO.

The CEPS Programme Manager had the opportunity to address the ceremony audience, having highlighted BPO's critical role in operating its segment of the network in support of NATO since 1958. He thanked BPO for its role in the NATO support to Ukraine, and also for the multiple initiatives on increasing the cybersecurity resilience of the network.

Under the leadership of Colonel Göran Boudry, he extended the challenges ahead focused on energy security and energy transition that will require a collective and integrated effort from all CEPS stakeholders to reach the sustainable readiness and resilience of the CEPS network in meeting the most demanding NATO military requirements.
