LUXEMBOURG - On 10 June 2021, The Netherlands signed an agreement with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) to sponsor the establishment of the first Global Fuel Services standing commercial contract capability, under the NSPA Operational Logistics Support Partnership.
The new capability increases NSPA's speed, flexibility and scalability when tasked to deliver fuel services worldwide, ensuring fast and flexible provisions of Fuel Services for operations and exercises during NATO and non-NATO missions.
A signing ceremony took place at NSPA Headquarters, in Capellen, Luxembourg, on 10 June 2021. Brigadier General Ernst Dobbenberg, Director of Weapon Systems & Agencies at the Defence Materiel Organization (DMO) in the Netherlands, accompanied by a Dutch delegation, met NSPA General Manager, Mr Peter Dohmen, NSPA Directors and senior officers. The meetings concluded with the signature of the Global Fuel Services contract.
