Greek Deputy Minister Alkiviadis Stefanis visits NSPA

On 20 February 2020, Mr Alkiviadis Stefanis, Greek Deputy Minister for National Defence, visited the NATO Support and Procurement Agency.

The Deputy Minister met with the NSPA General Manager and the NSPA Directors who briefed him on the Agency's latest developments. He had the opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest, current projects and opportunities of further cooperation between NSPA and Greece.

Mr Stefanis had already visited the Agency back in 2010, as a Brigadier General member of the Greek Delegation. Ten years later, he had the opportunity to witness first-hand the development that NSPA has seen since then. "Since my last visit, almost a decade ago, NSPA has evolved into a complex organization capable of effectively supporting NATO and in providing a wide spectrum of services in response to Nations' requirements", assured Mr Stefanis, who highlighted the value that NSPA brings to its customers.

After meetings with the NSPA management, Mr Stefanis had the opportunity to meet most of the over 60 NSPA Greek staff members. As LtCol Panagiotis Gkionis, Greek Liaison Office, explained: "the meeting with the Greek staff was very positive and the Deputy Minister acknowledged the great work that our Greek employees are doing in support of NSPA's mission and therefore to Greece".

The visit to NSPA took place after the Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis visited on NATO HQ in Brussels, and the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium, on 19 February 2020.
