Future Afghan Sustainable Counter Measures (FASE) against Radio Controlled IED (RCIED)


On the 03 October 2018, Mr. P. Dohmen, NSPA's General Manager signed a contract for the provision of counter measures against improvised explosives devices for the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) vehicles.


Mr. Dohmen explained the importance of this milestone and thanked all those involved in achieving it. The contract has been awarded to Kirintec, an international Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) manufacturer based in the United Kingdom.

NSPA was tasked by NATO Afghan National Army (ANA) Trust Fund Office (NATFO) and Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan (CSTC-A), to procure, deliver and install ECM systems into ANA and Afghan National Police (ANP) vehicles.

The General Manager of NSPA concluded that "This upgrade is critical to protect lives of Afghan soldiers and policemen when performing their duties."
