NSPA General Manager Engages with JFC Naples Leadership
15 May 2019
Today, NSPA General Manager, Peter Dohmen, and Director of Operations, Orhan Muratli, met with the leadership of Joint Force Command Naples. JFC Naples covers a wide range of NATO operations, missions and exercises including KFOR, the NATO Mission Iraq (NMI), the NATO Response Force (NRF) and Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF).
NPSA supports JFC Naples through medical facilities, construction, fuel supply and camp sustainment for multiple locations in the KFOR operation. Furthermore, NSPA enables JFC Naples in achieving the NATO Command Structure Adaptation, particularly through the provision of rapidly deployable infrastructure in support the NRF and VJTF and through developing deterrence and defence capabilities.
“Today I had productive discussions with the JFC Naples leadership and in particular the Chief of Staff. I provided them with an overview of what we are already doing to support their operations and we also had engaging discussion on potential future opportunities. JFC Naples is at the forefront of making NATO more adaptable and better suited to the current complex security environment and NSPA looks forward to not only maintaining our support for that effort, but looking for ways to continually improve it,” the General Manger stated after the meeting.
JFC Naples Chief of Staff, Lt General Luciano Portolano, said “I was delighted to meet Peter Dohmen during his visit to our headquarters in Naples. We were all reminded of the huge logistic challenge that accompanies military operations during last year’s Trident Juncture Exercise in Norway. The work of the NSPA is critical to our ability to ensure that NATO troops under our command are correctly equipped and supplied. We look forward to continuing to work with the team at the NSPA.”
