MRTT programme delegation visits NATO/SAC ops in Hungary

The NATO Airlift Management Programme recently hosted a delegation from the Multinational Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) Fleet Programmme (MMF).  The delegation was led by Colonel Jan der Kinderen, Programme Manager, and also included Colonel Jurgen van der Biezen, the MMF Commander and Colonel Henk Vroege, NLD Military Attaché to Hungary.

Mr. Wiek Noldus, the NATO Airlift Management Programme Manager hosted the visit to both the NAM and the Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) program at Pápa Airbase in Hungary. The MMF delegation was briefed about the SAC program, both by Mr. Noldus and Colonel Bjørn Gohn-Hellum, the Heavy Airlift Wing Commander. The delegation  was particularly interested in learning about the SAC program IT arrangements, the new SAC infrastructure at Pápa Air Base and Host-nation support arrangements between SAC and Hungary. During the visit, both parties addressed potential cooperation and shared lessons-learned.
