Replacement medical equipment arrives in Afghanistan

29 January 2018

Less than one year after the attack in the Kabul National Military Hospital, NSPA delivered the first batch of replacement medical equipment on 18 January 2018.  The project is part of the extensive NSPA support to the Combined Security Transition Command in Afghanistan (CSTC-A).

Throughout 2018, NSPA will continue to provide support to the enhancement of the Afghan National Army medical capabilities and the Afghan National Police throughout the country, delivering more than 300 items during the year.

"Besides the technical complexity of this project, the transportation, the coordination of deliveries, the installation and the commissioning and training services are also challenging. The close cooperation between NSPA, CSTC-A customers, the Afghan medical end-users and the contractors is essential for our continued success." Said Mr. Phil Choppen, part of the medical staff in the Agency’s General and Cooperative Services Programme.
