NSPA acquires refugee housing for Luxembourg
24 July 2017
NSPA successfully completed the acquisition project in support of our Host Nation Luxembourg to acquire temporary housing to welcome refugees to the Grand Duchy. The contract covers the manufacture, supply and assembly of containers for living accommodation and utilities in several sites in Luxembourg. Each site has the capacity to accommodate 150-300 people. The first refugee housing structure in the town of Diekirch was completed in June 2017.
"This housing acquisition project is the latest in a long, positive and fruitful cooperation with our Host Nation Luxembourg. I am extremely pleased that NSPA was able to support their efforts in this important activity." explained Mr. Peter Dohmen, NSPA General Manager.
The containerized buildings are designed and fully equipped with central heating, ventilation, kitchens, schools and leisure areas. Building external colour and design were selected to ensure a pleasant integration into the landscape. The project was carried out with close cooperation between NSPA and the Luxembourg Directorate of Defence of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Administration des Bâtiments Publics (ABP) and ‘Office Luxembourgeois de l’accueil et de l’intégration’ (OLAI).
