NSPA hosts naval logistics meeting

13 December 2016

The 14th Naval Logistics Support Partnership Committee Meeting was held at NSPA in late November.

The Torpedo Project Group conference, which was held on the first day, focused on the group’s intention to expand its underwater activities to include the acquisition and support of underwater combat systems such as mine counter measures and unmanned vehicles.

The Port Services component of the conference opened with an informative brief by Programme Manager, Mr John Bosmans, centred on both the Agency’s and Programme’s current activities and future business trends.

Current naval logistics support activities, ongoing initiatives and user experiences were discussed among the 20 member and trial nations as well as observers from the Movement Coordination Centre Europe.

Detailed presentation were also provided to the committee by NSPA on the new husbanding and future fuel contracts as well as the continuing growth of the Naval Supply and Project Support capability.
