NSPA workshop obtains EN9100 re-certification from TÜV Rheinland
14 September 2016
NSPA’s Air and Land Combat Systems Programme Workshop has successfully obtained a EN9100:2009 re-certification from TÜV Rheinland for its portfolio of military products and services.
The NSPA Workshop is the Agency’s organic depot facility with a wide range of hands-on capabilities for optics, mechanics and electronics support. Its core workforce comprises 40 technicians, many of them experts with rich experience, i.e. for the TOW anti-tank and Multiple Launch Rocket System.
In times of ever extending in-service phases, the support of legacy systems has become an everyday challenge. The NSPA Workshop has proven that it can help to bridge the gap between often vanishing industry support and the user countries’ national depot organizations. Many globally unique products and services are offered today, often in niche areas that are unattractive for industry due to their low business volume. NSPA’s business approach can ensure the guaranteed availability of support services until the end of a system’s life-cycle - in Luxembourg or in-country.
After 2007, 2010 and 2013, it has been the fourth time that the NSPA Workshop, operated by the Air and Land Combat Systems Programme, has proven that its processes and quality management system comply with today’s global aerospace and defence industry standard.
The EN9100 standard builds on ISO9001 that already applies to NSPA, but adds more requirements related to traceability and process control.
