NSPA hosts NATO NMRs

23 February 2016

The NATO National Military Representatives (NMRs) visited NSPA this week.  The delegation, led by the Dean, Brigadier General Reinhard Kuhn, Germany Army, was provided with detailed briefings which covered NSPA’s support to NATO’s three priorities: keeping NATO strong, supporting the transatlantic bond and working with partners.

“The visit was a great opportunity to highlight the broad value that NSPA can provide to the SHAPE and national initiatives, especially the Readiness Action Plan.” explained General Manager Mike LYDEN. “Our imbedded contract Integrator capability is a key enabler in this process.” he added.

NMRs are essential for effective information exchange, liaison and co-ordination between alliance nations and the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE). NMRs represent their nations, or are part of their nation's representation, at SHAPE exercises, conferences and other major activities.
