Successful user group meeting held

03 July 2015

Under the auspices of the General & Cooperative Services Programme’s  COMMIT Support Partnership Committee, the Turkish Air Force hosted the 54th Air Systems User Group meeting in Antalya (Turkey) in early June.

Air Force and Navy representatives from nine nations agreed on exceptionally high value and large-scale stock redistributions amongst each other, allowing them to quickly and easily access obsolete, hard-to-provide and/or urgently needed supply items, and capitalize on excess or slow-moving stock.

Participants also discussed different ways to increase the cooperation and business levels by considering other potential systems, improving or speeding the ordering process and clarifying administrative contingencies.

The next meeting will be held jointly with the Land Systems User Group meeting in Estoril (Portugal) on in early November 2015.
