SAC governing bodies meet in Pentagon
28 May 2015
The Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) Steering Board (SB) and the NATO Airlift Management (NAM) Programme Board (PB), the governing bodies of the SAC, met between 19 and 21 May to discuss governance issues for the Heavy Airlift Wing (HAW) and the NAM Programme Office.
Supported by the NSPO Secretariat, the meetings were held in the Pentagon in Washington DC. The governing bodies both welcomed new Chairmen; Brigadier General Mark Camerer (USA) for the SB and Colonel Olle Hultgren (SWE) for the PB.
National representatives were pleased to receive some distinguished visitors: Ms Heidi Grant (Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs), Mr Craig Smith (Deputy General Counsel for Intelligence, International and Military Affairs, Office of the Air Force General Counsel) and Lieutenant General Stephen Hoog (Assistant Vice Chief of Staff and Director, Air Staff, Headquarters U.S. Air Force). All were fulsome in their welcoming remarks and their appreciation of the SAC Program as an excellent example of multinational cooperation and smart defence.
