04 March 2015

This week, staff from NSPA’s General and Cooperative Services is conducting train-the-trainer training on the 500-man deployable Water Treatment System at the Southern Operational Centre.

In order to ensure operational readiness is maintained, programme staff have undertaken a “train-the-trainer” programme for much of the vital equipment necessary to support these camps on operations. This  training started in 2014 and includes training on large equipment such as Mechanical Handling Equipment, cranes, kitchens, ablutions, water and sewage treatment and distribution equipment, vehicle wash racks, waste incinerator, fuel storage and distribution equipment.

The training programme will continue until mid-2015 and will ensure that the equipment is effective and will provide operational personnel with the appropriate quality of service.
