Visitors from the Direction Générale de l'Armement (France)

25 November 2014

NSPA's Quality Management Cell received a visit from General (IGA) Bernard Osterroth, Director of the quality department of the Direction générale de l'armement (the French armaments procurement agency), accompanied by his deputy for operations and his international relations bureau chief.

Following bilateral discussions between IGA Osterroth and General Manager Mike Lyden, a briefing on Agency activities was presented by NSPA Director of Procurement Patrick Fesquet. Exchanges on the Government Quality Assurance process led to a better understanding of specificities on either side and identification of avenues of improvement. The visit laid sound foundations for strengthening cooperation between NSPA and France in the field of Quality Assurance.

Patrick Fesquet commented "controlling the quality of the goods and services supplied by NSPA to Alliance forces and Commands is an essential part of its mission. Partnering with national quality authorities (of which the cooperation with the DGA quality department is an outstanding example) constitutes, along with a common quality baseline, one of the keys to the Agency's success in this area."
