05 November 2014
NSPA hosted Major General Carmelo DE CICCO, Deputy Chief of Staff Support, and BGen Pascal LAUREYS, Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics, from Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFC(B)) today.
The visitors were briefed on all aspects of NSPA including the full range of capabilities available to support NATO and JFC (B.) This included an update on lessons learned from Afghanistan in the areas of Procurement and Finance which have been incorporated to better support future operations.
The visitors were also updated on NSPA’s support to exercises and our Capability Packages/Deployable Camps based at the Southern Operational Centre in Taranto, Italy. According to acting Director of Logistics, Mr. Chris Rose, “Major General DE CICCO and Brigadier General LAUREYS visit today was both very useful and timely.
Given that Joint Force Command, Brunssum is one of the Agency’s primary customers, it is clear that close cooperation between the Agency and these key logistic leaders in Brunssum is critical, particularly in regard to the transition from ISAF operations to the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan.”
