NSPA implements new capability package projects
07 August 2014
NSPA’s General & Cooperative Services Programme has recently been designated as Host Nation for the implementation of several projects from the following NATO Capability Packages (CP).
- CP 5A0156 NATO Deployable HQ Assets for 500-man Large Headquarters Camp (LHQC)
- CP 5A0109 NATO Air Command and Control System (ACCS)
- CP 9A01101 NATO Response Force (NRF) Assets and Support
- CP 0A0149 NATO Deployable CIS
In late July, customers, Fleet Managers and NSPA staff held an introductory meeting to discuss these requirements in more detail.
Additionally, NSPA will be responsible for the Follow on Support (FoS), including 2nd and 3rd level maintenance of the equipment acquired for NATO Signal Battalions and NATO Deployable Air Command and Control Centre (DACCC). These units have on their inventories more than 300 vehicles, and, recently, Fleet Management Outline Agreement contracts have been established to reduce the response time and minimize vehicles’ down time leading towards better customers’ satisfaction and support to NATO exercises and operations.
The contracts for Renault Trucks and Land Rover vehicles cater for NATO vehicles located in 12 European NATO countries, including Turkey. The following FoS requirements have been contracted:
- Preventive maintenance
- On-call technical assistance
- Provision of spares
More countries will be covered in the near future.
The introduction meeting of the customers, Fleet Managers and NSPA has been successfully held at NSPA on 31 July 2014.
