NSPA hosted a meeting of the General Managers/Deputy General Managers of all nine NATO Agencies and the NATO Chief Scientist on Tuesday, 25 February. The objectives for the day-long meeting were to discuss areas of mutual interest, enhance their network and share lessons learned.

NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow opened the session via VTC and highlighted the successes achieved by Agency Reform as well as the remaining task to implement NAC decisions for Shared Services. The main programme then featured overview presentations by each Agency and the Chief Scientist.

The program concluded with presentations by Mr. Wayne Bush, ASG for Executive Management (EM), who outlined the way-ahead for Shared Services; Mr Heinrich Brauss, ASG Defense Policy and Planning (DPP) who highlighted the Agencies role in the NATO Defense Planning Process; and, lastly, Mr. Patrick Auroy, ASG Defence Investment (DI), who identified current focus areas for capability development.

According to NSPA General Manager Mike Lyden, “The session was a great opportunity to assemble this influential group of NATO leaders to discuss common issues, benchmark against each other and further develop our network.”
