NLSE Supports the French Health Service
15 May 2013
On 6 May 2013, the Service de santé des armées (FRA) received their 1st containerized CT scanner ordered via the NATO Logistics Stock Exchange (NLSE).
The contract was awarded to Marshall Specialist Vehicles Ltd following a process of International Competitive Bidding (ICB). The mobile CT scanner system is probably the best designed solution available on today’s international market. Fully integrated into an expandable shelter, it provides a ruggedized, transportable and deployable solution that can be operational within 8 hours.
This requirement was coordinated within the Medical and Pharmaceutical User Group (MPUG) and could not have been satisfied without the collaboration of the French medical experts and engineers, which in turn benefited from the expertise of Norway and the United Kingdom that are already using the system. Several nations have shown an interest and may potentially purchase either elements or the whole containerized scanner. This CT scanner supports cardiac, pulmonary, trauma, and pediatric imaging.
The successful delivery shows the ongoing support by NSPA and ever growing relationship between the NLSE customers within the MPUG.
