Investment Committee Meeting

24 April 2013

On 17 April, NATO’s oldest active committee visited NSPA at Capellen. The Investment Committee (previously the Infrastructure Committee) is responsible for the NATO Security Investment Programme (NSIP).

The NSIP provides NATO common funds for the development, construction and implementation of facilities that are required for NATO missions but are not provided by member nations. As such it funds a number of important projects being implemented by NSPA in particular by Operational Logistics Support Programme, the General Services Programme and Central European Pipeline System Programme all of whom updated the Investment Committee (IC) on their projects during the visit.

The Chair of the Investment Committee, Dr Erika Antal noted the importance of the NSPA to the IC as the second largest Host Nation for NSIP projects. She and the Committee members were complimentary about NSPA’s capabilities and performance.

The aim of the visit was to improve further the understanding and cooperation between NSPA and the IC.
