Visit of Slovak delegation led by the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to NATO

On 24 January 2013, a Slovak delegation led by the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to NATO, H.E. Mr František KAŠICKÝ, visited NSPA.

The delegation was welcomed by Mike Lyden, the NSPA General Manager, and the meeting began with a General Orientation briefing followed by a summary of the activities of various programs. The first part of the visit ended with a presentation covering the various aspects of the Agency’s procurement policy. After a short break and an initial informal exchange of ideas between the NSPA representatives and the Slovak delegation, the industrial partners presented their capabilities, covering a wide range of systems in areas such as artillery systems, howitzers, rocket launchers, mortars, medium and light combat turrets, gun barrels (30 to 155 mm), compatibility projects about ammunition, electronic systems, modernization programmes, testing facility operation, aircraft maintenance & repair, independent communication system (INCOS), surveillance and control systems and project DELOSYS (Artillery Command & Control System).

All attendees were clearly satisfied with the meeting, which has been productive and beneficial.
