The Agency's broad portfolio is grouped in specific capability areas to ensure optimal support to its customers: Life Cycle Management, Support to Operations and Services.

Life Cycle Management

NSPA manages the life-cycle of equipment and weapon systems in all phases of the life system cycle, working closely with the customers and adapting its support to each phase to meet the customers' requirements and provide true 'cradle-to-grave' support.

NSPA currently provides support to over 90 major weapon systems including high visibility projects such as:

Support to operations & Exercises

Over the last decades, the NSPA has developed considerable expertise in the provision of support services in operational theatres. Whether supporting a NATO operation or a Nation-led operation, NSPA can offer a wide range of operational support, including:

The Agency also manages contracts with global coverage for fuel, oil supplies and port services for naval shipping.
Additionally, NSPA procures, manages, operates, and maintains: 

NSPA is fully involved in planning and supporting nations 'Enhanced Forward Presence units, the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force and Deterrence and Defence activities.

The Agency also manages around 100 NATO Trust Fund projects on behalf of the nations, contributing to projecting stability initiatives.


The Agency has a wide expertise in procurement services, providing a link between the nations and the industry (whether contracting material supply, services or equipment).

Additionally, it offers specific services in areas where limited technical logistics support may be required but where the Agency can facilitate purchase or redistribution, such as:

Finally, the Agency:

  • Manages the Central Europe Pipeline System (CEPS), the largest of the NATO multi-product petroleum pipeline systems which provides fuel transportation and storage across Western Europe. 
  • Delivers reliable and responsive support to the Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) and to the Heavy Airlift Wing (HAW) C-17 aircraft. Being responsible for acquiring, managing and supporting airlift assets required for national operations, including those in support of NATO, EU, UN and multinational commitments.
