In 2015, NSPA was appointed by the North Atlantic Council to provide armament procurement and acquisition services to NATO. Today, NSPA provides the full suite of acquisition services to NATO, its nations and partner nations across all domains.

Thanks to its experienced and skilled workforce, its effective processes and a suite of supporting tools, NSPA provides a one-stop shop for Acquisition encompassing technical, financial, procurement and legal aspects that can be tailored to customer requirements.

The Agency's Acquisition focus is the Acquisition Planning and Development Office (APDO), acting as an immediately available and centralized capability for new acquisition projects.

An example of a major acquisition programme led by NSPA is the Alliance Future Surveillance and Control programme.
