The conference was organized as part of the NAMSA Ammunition Support Partnership (ASP) bi-annual meeting. The ASP represents a group of 23 nations and their associated ammunition related offices.

The key objectives of the conference were:

  • To showcase, discuss and promote mobile & transportable equipments at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 and above, i.e. at least a representative system/subsystem model or prototype demonstrated in a relevant environment and up to proven commercial product available for the commercial market.
  • To raise awareness of the technologies, capabilities and limitations of mobile equipment in comparison to fixed industrial facilities.
  • To provide a forum for contractors and users to consider potential scenarios for the use of mobile technology.

Participants highly appreciated the content of the conference, which provided a unique opportunity to understand the mobile capability and products available in the market in a broad forum.
